DJPC is not responsible for the rust, rust seepage, oxidation, or coating failure of the following: Design and/or welding flaws, such as pin holes, overlapping steel placements (often seen in furniture) non-sealed welds, interior sides, compartments, spaces of the weldment where powder coating cannot penetrate that allow moisture to build up and cause rust. Improper/poor design, construction, or assembly. This may include, but not limited to, welding flaws (inclusive of splatter and pinholes), over-torqued screws, impact assembly, or improper handling.
Since the powder coating process involves curing (baking) components, DJPC is not responsible for any damage to any piece(s) that cannot withstand the oven temperature of 400°F. This includes, but is not limited to, seals, bushings, bearings, electrical wiring, plastics, rubber, or internal components. All these should be removed from parts prior to delivery to DJPC.
Anytime DJPC has an issue with a part, we will call you to discuss. Examples: Due to oil or grease from hidden pocketed recesses or holes, some metal parts (such as cast aluminum and magnesium) may experience an out-gassing and/or bubbling in the finish. DJPC will take every precaution possible to avoid out-gassing. As thin-gauged metal or old/reused metal pieces may warp in the oven. DJPC does not take responsibility for any damage the oven may produce.
DJPC has no control over nicks, cuts, scratches or any other abusive wear and tear during any consumers’ usage once parts have been powder coated. This may also include normal wear and tear. Powder coating is extremely durable but is not scratch proof.
If some of the parts don't meet your expectations: Please inspect your parts upon receipt. If you should discover something wrong with your part(s), notify us immediately. The bottom line is if the error rests on our shoulders we will gladly recoat the parts and do whatever we can to address the problem to satisfy your needs. DJ Powder Coating reserves the right to validate all claims, but we will not charge you to correct our own mistakes.
